Joining Us on the Ranch

Information

You can call or email us with any questions you have – we would love to help you figure out if Cornerstone Ranch is right for you. Our McKinney, Texas home and Day Program are wonderful places to live and grow.

Tour

Schedule a tour of the home, property and facilities. You will be able to meet with staff and residents to get a feel for our community.

We hope you find this information helpful, but please call or email us with any questions about Cornerstone.

Application

If you submit an application, you will get a chance to tell us about the applicant in great detail. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee that must be mailed with your application forms. We will not be able to process applications until they are fully complete. After our staff reviews the application, you will be notified if the application process will continue or if Cornerstone is not currently suited to meet the applicant’s needs. If the process continues, but there no openings available, candidates will be placed in a wait pool. The wait pool differs from a wait list in that we select the candidate best suited for an opening, rather than candidates in chronological order.

Day Program Applicant

Interviews

The applicant and their parent/guardian will come in for an interview reviewing the application and additional material.

Trial Visit

We would then host the applicant at Cornerstone for a trial visit of one or more days to allow the applicant the opportunity to build a realistic expectation of our program, and for us to get to know the applicant better and determine the appropriateness of the placement.

Determination

Cornerstone will then determine if the applicant is accepted, denied, or in need of further review.

Enrollment

We will schedule a start date.

Residential Applicant

Interviews

The applicant and their parent/guardian will come in for an extensive interview reviewing the application and additional material. If the applicant is being considered for residential placement, the family will also be referred to a third-party consultant for a financial review and to determine any scholarships that may be awarded. Again, the application process could end at this point.

Trial Visit

We would then host the applicant at Cornerstone for a four-week trial visit to allow the applicant the opportunity to build a realistic expectation of our program, and for us to get to know the applicant better and determine the appropriateness of the placement.

Determination

Cornerstone will then determine if the applicant is accepted, denied, or in need of further review.

Enrollment

We will schedule a meeting to go over intake procedures and forms.
