Smiling & The Moon
If you missed out on our movie night last week, you sure missed out! Over 150 people set up chairs on our front lawn to celebrate abundant life while watching “A Smile as Big as the Moon.”
As guests arrived, our residents lined up to take each family on a personal tour of the home. The visit began with a display of several works of art that have been hand painted by our residents.
Then, the tour wound around the back of the home where the residents showed off their new garden boxes and Cornerstone’s six baby chickens (this was most definitely the highlight of the evening for several of our younger guests).
Finally, the tour ended in the Cornerstone home, where the residents showed off their rooms and introduced their guests to the new card enterprise that they have begun. If you didn’t know, the Cornerstone gang is making cards with their artwork on it. It’s for sale, but you need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more details.
Around 8pm, everyone congregated on our front lawn and heard more about Cornerstone Ranch, enjoyed popcorn and soda, and snuggled up in warm blankets to watch “A Smile as Big as the Moon” on the huge inflatable screen. The sun set in a glorious display of color, the stars and moon shone bright in the Texas sky, and the entire audience enjoyed an evening celebrating the handiwork of God.
If you would like to be part of our future events, please let us know! We always love having new guests at our quarterly activities. The next big Cornerstone function is the August art auction. More information about the auction will be posted soon.
