Why we do what we do
Recently, a new friend posted this on our Facebook page:
I don’t know many expectant parents that sit around dreaming about the day their kiddo will move into a group home, but…thru a strange series of events, my family and I ended up eating out last night. We noticed a white van pull up where we were eating. A group of friendly special folks got out of the van and sat out on the patio of a local Tex-Mex restaurant. Our ASD son is 4. Our prayer is that he will recover. Our hope is that we’ll be able to care for him if that doesn’t happen. I’m a crying mess, and don’t know how to adequately say that it was a refreshing site…to picture my son dining on a patio enjoying Tex-Mex w/friends and people that care about his well-being. We were given your recent newsletter. So encouraged about what you guys are doing to love on sweet people like our son. Blessings upon blessings to you all!
Thank you, Candace, for your sweet words. We were honored to meet you and your beautiful family.
