Cornerstone Ranch (A Special Needs Community) Ranchers Honored as the 2024 Volunteer Group of the Year

McKINNEY, Texas — In a significant acknowledgment of their unwavering dedication and contributions to the community, the Ranchers at Cornerstone Ranch have been named the 2024 Volunteer Group of the Year by Volunteer McKinney. This prestigious award celebrates their heartfelt service efforts throughout Collin County, including delivering meals to seniors with Meals on Wheels, supporting the Samaritan Inn, and writing letters for Honor Flight recipients, among many other impactful activities.

Cynthia Heaton, Executive Director at Cornerstone Ranch, expressed immense pride in the Ranchers’ achievements, “We couldn’t be prouder of our Ranchers for their heartfelt dedication to serving our community. This award not only reflects their commitment but also embodies the core values of Cornerstone Ranch — empowerment, love, and the belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute.”  Heaton added, “Seeing our Ranchers find purpose and joy in giving back is truly inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact that compassion and service can have on both the giver and those receiving.”

Allison Monroe, Executive Director at Volunteer McKinney, also praised the Ranchers’ exemplary service, stating, “The Ranchers at Cornerstone Ranch have demonstrated remarkable volunteerism that bridges communities, touches hearts, and fosters an environment of care and support. Their diverse contributions underscore what it means to serve with purpose and passion. They embody the spirit of the Volunteer Group of the Year Award.”

The award was presented during a special ceremony on April 11, 2024, at The Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, Texas, recognizing their extensive volunteer service to various local nonprofit organizations and causes. This recognition not only celebrates the significant contributions made by the Ranchers but also underscores the vital role of volunteerism and community service. Cornerstone Ranch continues to inspire by demonstrating the profound impact of serving others.
